The following policies apply to the peer-reviewed scholarly journals published by Riyada Center for Research and Studies and constitute the common institutional framework governing scholarly publishing, peer review, research integrity, and access to published content.
Each journal also publishes on its official website information specific to its academic scope, editorial board, author requirements, publication fees, and applicable submission procedures in accordance with the Center's common publishing policies.
Riyada Center for Research and Studies provides the institutional, administrative, and technical infrastructure required for the publication of its scholarly journals, while each journal's editorial board is responsible for manuscript evaluation and editorial decision-making according to the journal's published academic scope and policies.
Decisions to accept, revise, or reject manuscripts are based on scholarly and editorial evaluation and are independent of publication fees, financial interests, or administrative considerations.
Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members or individuals associated with a journal are handled through independent procedures designed to avoid conflicts of interest.
Research manuscripts considered suitable for publication in the Center's journals undergo Double-Blind Peer Review, in which the identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers and the identities of reviewers are not disclosed to authors.
Following initial editorial screening, each manuscript is referred to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area and research methodology, while potential conflicts of interest are taken into account.
Reviewers assess the originality, scholarly significance, methodology, clarity of results, and compliance of the manuscript with relevant academic standards.
Review outcomes may include revision, further evaluation, rejection, or a recommendation for acceptance. The final editorial decision is made on the basis of reviewer reports and editorial assessment.
Submission of a manuscript, successful completion of initial screening, or referral to peer review does not guarantee acceptance for publication.
Each journal published by the Center has its own independent editorial board, which is fully responsible for editorial decisions, including acceptance, revision, or rejection. Editorial decisions are based on academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, clarity, and compliance with the journal’s publishing standards and ethical requirements.
The Center and its journals are committed to integrity, transparency, and accountability in research and scholarly publishing and are guided by relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Journal ethics policies address, where applicable:

Individuals must not be listed as authors without a genuine scholarly contribution, and all authors must approve the submitted manuscript and accept responsibility for the published work.
Manuscripts are screened for originality and textual similarity using Turnitin as part of the editorial assessment process.
The reference list and bibliography are excluded before the overall similarity percentage is calculated. The maximum permitted overall similarity score is 10%.
A similarity percentage is not treated as an automatic determination of plagiarism. Editors examine the location, nature, and sources of matching text, and a manuscript may be rejected for plagiarism or inappropriate source use even when the overall similarity score is within the stated limit.
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional interests that could influence, or could reasonably be perceived to influence, manuscript evaluation or editorial decision-making.
Individuals are excluded from handling a manuscript when a relevant conflict of interest could compromise the independence of the evaluation or decision.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of content submitted for publication.
Material use of generative artificial intelligence in preparing a manuscript must be disclosed, except for limited language correction, editing, or formatting that does not generate new scholarly content.
Artificial intelligence tools cannot be credited as authors and must not be cited as scholarly sources.
Peer reviewers and editors should not use generative AI to create peer-review reports or editorial assessments, nor should confidential manuscripts be entered into tools that may expose their content to third parties.
Any routine use of automated tools by a journal or the publisher is subject to human oversight. Decisions concerning originality, integrity, or peer review are not based solely on automated outputs without human verification.
The scholarly journals published by the Center operate under an Open Access model.
Published research is made electronically available for reading and downloading without subscription, embargo, or mandatory registration to access the full text.
Reuse of published material is governed by the licence stated on the relevant article.

Copyright in published articles is owned by the author or authors. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to publish, make available, and distribute the work under the applicable licence.
Authors are responsible for obtaining any permissions required to reproduce third-party material, including images, figures, tables, or other protected content.
Copyright applicable to website design and administrative content is separate from the copyright and licensing terms applicable to published scholarly articles.
Scholarly publishing activities are supported through sources that include publisher funding and disclosed publication fees for manuscripts that receive a final acceptance decision.
No publication fee is due at manuscript submission, during initial editorial screening, or during peer review. Publication fees and waiver requests do not influence peer review or editorial decision-making.
Each journal clearly publishes the amount of its applicable publication fee on its official website.
The Center's journals provide a publication-fee waiver when the Corresponding Author is institutionally affiliated with an organisation located in a country classified as a Low-income economy under the World Bank classification in effect at the time of manuscript submission.
Eligibility is determined using the latest World Bank classification and the institutional affiliation stated for the Corresponding Author.
The Center's journals are committed to preserving the integrity of the scholarly record after publication.
When a significant error or concern is identified in published content, the editorial board takes action appropriate to the circumstances. Actions may include:

Publishing a correction.

Issuing an Expression of Concern where appropriate.

Retracting an article when necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
The journals are guided by relevant COPE guidance when handling corrections, retractions, and allegations of research misconduct.
Authors, readers, and other interested parties may submit complaints concerning editorial procedures or published content through the official contact channels of the relevant journal or the Center.
Authors may submit a reasoned appeal against an editorial decision where the appeal identifies specific scholarly or procedural grounds.
Complaints and appeals are reviewed, as far as practicable, independently of the individuals involved in the decision being challenged.
The Center's journals maintain digital archives of published content and apply backup procedures intended to support continuity of access to files and metadata.
Information concerning long-term preservation services will be updated after formal activation is completed.
Personal information provided by authors, reviewers, editors, and readers is used for scholarly, editorial, administrative, technical, and related communication purposes associated with the activities of the Center and its journals.
Such information is handled with appropriate confidentiality and is not used for unrelated commercial purposes.
Information may be shared to the extent necessary with technical or service providers supporting publishing operations, or where required by law, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection considerations.
The Center and its journals respect intellectual property and copyright.
Rights holders or other concerned parties may report material they believe infringes intellectual property rights through the Center's official contact channels and should provide sufficient information to allow the claim to be reviewed and appropriate action to be taken.
The Center's journals do not accept external paid advertising within published scholarly content, and promotional or informational activities are kept independent of editorial decision-making.
Any direct communication concerning the journals or manuscript submissions must be accurate, relevant, non-misleading, and unobtrusive.
Communications from the Center or its journals do not guarantee manuscript acceptance or promise a particular peer-review or publication outcome.
Where a journal publishes a special issue or manuscripts associated with a scientific conference, those manuscripts are subject to the same academic scope, editorial screening, peer-review, and research-integrity requirements applied to regular submissions.
Participation in a conference organised by or associated with the Center does not guarantee publication in any journal published by the Center.
Manuscripts submitted by guest editors or individuals involved in managing a special issue are handled through independent procedures designed to avoid conflicts of interest.
All publications and journals of the center, including research, images, and content, are subject to legal intellectual property protection. Any infringement will be subject to legal accountability.
The Center respects intellectual property rights and responds to copyright infringement claims in accordance with applicable law. If you believe that any content on the Center’s website infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice including identification of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, and a good-faith statement supporting your claim. Notices should be submitted through the official contact channels listed on the website.
