Conference Description
Riyada Center for Research and Studies organizes its annual scientific conference under the title: The Role of Academic Promotion Research in the Development of the Private Sector. This conference aims to highlight the importance of academic promotion research as a driver of economic development by directing its outcomes toward serving the private sector and strengthening integration between academic institutions and productive sectors. It also seeks to present successful models for transforming scientific research into added value in the market and to examine mechanisms for supporting partnerships between universities and companies.
Conference Themes
1- The current state of academic promotion research in Arab universities, including the nature of such research, its fields, and the extent of its connection to practical application.
2- Available opportunities for utilizing academic promotion research in productive sectors, including areas of industrial and commercial application, with reference to models of university–industry cooperation.
3- Partnerships between the private sector and academic institutions, including mechanisms of cooperation and contracting, and the role of university research and innovation centers.
4- Encouraging researchers to develop a culture of applied research and produce knowledge with practical value, through effective funding policies and stronger links between research and labor market needs.
5- Local and international experiences in transforming scientific research into products and services, including case studies and practical recommendations.
